It is hard to imagine life today without the handy invention of the telephone.

Back when the telephone was first invented however, the general public was a little skeptical of its usefulness. Thank goodness those telephone pioneers pushed on and created things like Exchange telephone service.

Places like the Canton telephone exchange are even open to this day. Looks like the telephone has been a lasting invention that will continue to provide use in the future.
