One of the greatest inventions of the twentieth century, if not of all times, is the telephone. It revolutionized communication. It bridged gaps that, before that, had not been crossed. It made communication speedier and more reliable. This proved to be good in business, politics, peace and order, and more.

Alexander Bell, its inventor, had foreseen this. He had foreseen the impact that his invention would make. And he was not wrong.
